Placement Funding Information
23rd June 11.00 to 11.15, online on Zoom

Carol Hughes (Techne Senior Administrator) and Louise Davies (Techne Manager) will give an overview of the funding that is available for Techne students to undertake placements, and the process involved in finding a placement and applying for funding.

Students funded by the AHRC/UKRI through Techne can apply for an extension of up to six months to their maintenance and fee payments, and for funding to support the placements or other career enhancement activities. Placements should not be related to the core research of the PhD, but enable students to develop a wider set of skills, experience or understanding which will enhance their careers.

We really encourage all Techne students to undertake a placement during their PhD, as an exciting opportunity to develop your skills and work with some fascinating organisations. This session is designed to give all Techne students a reminder of how this process works in practice.

This session will take place immediately after the Day 2 keynote lecture, on the same Zoom call, so please stay on after the lecture for this presentation.

If you have any questions following this presentation, you can email Techne with any queries.
